    Description
    Wall with a lower wing set at an angle on either side, two shallow steps leading up to it. Central section commemorates Dorking men who died between 1914 and 1919. The two wings commemorate men and women who died in the second world war. Centre section consists of three inset panels, each displaying two columns of names. Either side of these panels is a plain carved pilaster, with a raised disc at the top - left hand side shows 1914, right hand side shows 1919. Above the whole is a carved pediment, at the centre of which is a laurel wreath. Below the panels of WW1 names is a biblical quotation from first book of Samuel. The WW2 names are displayed in inset panels, two columns on each wing. At the narrow end of each of those wings is a bound laurel wreath, each with a raised disc at its centre - left hand disc is inscribed 1939, right hand disc is inscribed 1945.
