Description: Small floriated cross on a slender column on a three step plinth, the upper half of sandstone blocks with stone columns at each corner. This is supported on a plinth of octagonal section, sandstone blocks. All on a four-stepped octagonal base. Inscription and names in leaded lettering on stone panels set into faces 1 - 4 of the bottom plinth and face 1 of the octagonal sandstone plinth. The memorial stands in a paved stone rectangular enclosure open on one side where it is accessed by one step. The enclosure is formed of a low stone wall with a stone coping. Integral to the enclosure are two curved stone corner seats with incised inscriptions.
Inscription: Face 1 top panel: THIS CROSS IS ERECTED BY THE PEOPLE/ OF SEALE TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND/ AS A MEMORIAL TO ALL THOSE WHO/ GAVE UP THEIR LIVES FOR ENGLAND/ IN THE GREAT WAR AND ESPECIALLY/ IN LOVING MEMORY OF THOSE CONNECTED/ WITH THE PARISH WHOSE NAMES ARE/ INSCRIBED HERE-ON/ A.D. 1919./ Face 2 panel: (Names) Face 3 panel: (Names) Face 4 panel: (Names) Face 1 lower panel: 1939 - 1945/ Face 1 top step: IN HOPE OF ETERNAL LIFE/ Northern stone seat inscription: TO THE LIVING MEMORY OF/ THOSE WHO DIED AND FOUGHT/ FOR ALL OF US TO SAVE/ OUR PRECIOUS LAND/ 1939-1945./ Southern stone seat inscription: THIS WALL WAS GIVEN BY/ LADY BUCKINGHAM OF SEALE LODGE/ AND UNVEILED BY HER/ ON REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY 1947.
