    • https://sussexhistoryforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=6239.0;wap2 Extract - the church of All Saints, South Merstham, was destroyed in 1941 by a parachute mine. Two WW1 war memorial tablets were retrieved from the ruins of the church but for reasons unknown when a new church was built in the 1950s they were placed in the church loft and forgotten about until they were discovered in 2008. They were rededicated on Remembrance Sunday of 2008.
