    Description
    A three-stepped base surmounted by plinth and winged figure of 'Victory'. The dedication is engraved on the sides of the plinth. The stone for the Second World War is in the shape of an open book and is placed behind the statue with an engraved dedication on both pages. On the front face of the plinth a sword and wreath are carved in relief.

    Maintenance History
    May 2008: WW2 stone removed for re-cutting and for names to be added. Returned end of May. Nov. 2007 Grade II listed. 2001: Memorial cleaned. 2000: Inscription on 3 and 12 o'clock faces are in poor condition 1999: WW2 names are to be re-cut 1976: Memorial re-erected about 3ft forward of original site following pressure from the local population to return it. 1972: Memorial dismantled as council believed it reduced visibility.
