Description: WALL-MOUNTED MARBLE TABLET. CENTRAL RECTANGULAR TABLET OF WHITE MARBLE SURROUNDEDBY MOUNT OF MOTTLED PINK MARBLE. MOUNT HAS TRIANGULAR PEDIMENT AT TOP. RELIEF WITHIN PEDIMENT OF WREATH AND RIBBON WITH WORDS "FOR GOD KING AND COUNTRY".
Inscription: TO THE GLORY OF GOD/ AND IN HONOURED MEMORY OF/ THE MEN OF THE ALTONS/ WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE GREAT WAR/ 1914-1919/ (NAMES)/ "THEIR NAME LIVETH FOR EVERMORE"
