    Description
    Three-stepped, octagonal base, surrounded by an octagonal retaining stone, the base surmounted by a square plinth, octagonal shaft and gabled Calvary Cross upon which is a representation of Christ. The whole is set in a paved area enclosed by metal railings with a gate on one side. The commemoration is carved into the side of the plinth, the names into the faces of the steps.

    Maintenance History
    In 2007 the council were in discussions to move the memorial from the park to a position in the High Street. However, IWM 85132 was created instead and so the memorial was not moved. the move within the park in 2021 cost £22,500.
