    Maintenance History
A large project was undertaken to undertake repairs to the building including plumbing, electrical works, window maintenance and Panel to be corrected; Blair Snell was killed 14th November 1941. In 2010, War Memorials Trust gave a grant of £2,500 towards work to the dedicatory panelling within the hall. This included correcting errors which had been identified on the panels such as date of death and rank, repairing water stained areas and mouldings, splits in the wood were repaired with fillets or fillers and doors which could not close were repaired. Unfortunately, due to the extent of some of the corrections required, a number of panels had to be replaced where due to the condition of the reverse of the panels these could not be re-used. Although the hall is listed, Listed Building Consent was not required in this case as the works were like-for-like repair. It is important to consult the local planning authority on all projects regarding listed memorials to establish whether any consents are required; whether consent is required for certain types of work can vary between authorities.
