Description: Wooden triptych with the names on both side doors, a large Copper Latin cross in the centre and the dedication on a central board below the central cross. Most lettering is painted gold, and the names black.
Inscription: Above the Cross: FOR GOD/KING AND COUNTRY Below the Cross: LEST WE FORGET On Dedication Board: TO THE HONOURED MEMORY OF THE ABOVE & IN/ SPECIAL REMEMBRANCE OF THEIR ELDEST SON/ ARCHIBALD JOHN SCOTT ANDERSON/ 2 LT. XIth CHESHIRE REGT. WHO FELL IN ACTION IN/FRANCE, AUGUST 27TH, 1916, AGED 23 YEARS./ THIS TABLET IS ERECTED BY HIS FATHER AND MOTHER/ "GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN THAN THIS, THAT A/man may lay down his life for his friends."
