Type of Memorial: Triptych
WMR Reference Number: 24912
Description: Wooden arch-headed triptych incorporating WW1inscriptions on upper and lower panels in relief, finished with gold painted lettering. At the centre of upper panel is a recessed Cross with a vine and grape carving in relief. WW1 names, also in relief with gold painted lettering, on insides of left and right doors. A bronze regimental badge is above each name. WW2 names are carved on the middle rail separating upper and lower panels. Lettering originally filled with gold coloured paint but now faded. A bronze regimental badge is below each name.
Inscription: Triptych upper panel: 1914 - 1918 / {AD / MAJOREM} {DEI / GLORIAM} / Triptych centre rail; 1939 - 1945 / (3 NAMES) / Triptych lower panel: IN MEMORY OF THE / ABOVE MEN WHO FELL / IN THE GREAT WAR Left and right doors: (6 x WW1 NAMES)
