Description: Memorial is constructed of rough-hewn granite forming a two-stepped octagonal base surmounted by a cube-shaped plinth and a rectangular sectioned tapering Latin cross. Pinned-lead lettering and numerals form the inscriptions and names on all four smoothened side faces of the plinth. Names of the Fallen include those from WW1, WW2 and WW2 civilians. A separate angled stone block mounted on the steps below the WW2 civilian names, bears three names of the Fallen from conflicts since 1945. Incised inscription and names infilled with black paint. The whole memorial is immediately surrounded by a block paving area followed by a rose garden. The entire location is bounded by a metal fence.
Inscription: side one: IN MEMORY OF THE MEN OF DARTMOUTH / WHO DIED FOR THEIR COUNTRY, 1914 - 1919. / (79 NAMES) // side two: "THEIR NAME LIVETH FOR EVERMORE"/ (79 NAMES) // side three: IN MEMORY OF THE MEN OF DARTMOUTH / WHO DIED FOR THEIR COUNTRY 1939 - 1945 / (82 NAMES) // side four: IN MEMORY OF CIVILIANS WHO LOST / THEIR LIVES BY ENEMY ACTION 1939 - 1945 / (35 NAMES) // separate stone block: IN MEMORY OF THOSE WHO HAVE DIED FOR / THEIR COUNTRY IN CONFLICTS SINCE 1945 (3 NAMES)
