Description: Wall mounted, landscape oriented wooden backboard supporting an engraved brass plaque. Cross above inscription. A single-line border, interrupted by the cross at top centre, encloses the inscription. First letters of principal words, numerals and cross infilled with red paint, remaining text and border infilled with black paint.
Inscription: + / IN MEMORY OF / ALBERT DOWN / PTE. ROYAL ENGINEERS, / WHO DIED 29TH DEC. 1916. AGED 42. / "THY BROTHER SHALL RISE AGAIN."
