Description: GRANITE CROSS WITH TAPERING SHAFT SET ON SQUARE PLINTH: CELTIC KNOTWORK DESIGN CARVED ON THE HEAD OF CROSS. PLINTH SURMOUNTS STONE BASE AND CARRIES COMMEMORATION AND WW1 NAMES. WALL BEHIND THE CROSS BEARS TABLET WITH WW2 NAMES. ALL NAMES IN BLACK LETTERING.
Inscription: CROSS: 6 O'CLOCK FACE: "LEST WE FORGET"/ TO THE/ SACRED MEMORY/ OF ALL THOSE FROM THIS/ PARISH OF WENDRON/ FOUGHT AND DIED/ FOR GOD AND COUNTRY/ IN THE GREAT WAR/ 1914-1918/ "THEY LOVED NOT THEIR LIVES UNTO DEATH THEREFORE/ ARE THEY BEFORE THE THRONE OF GOD." 3 O'CLOCK FACE: "THEY DIED FOR YOU."/ (NAMES) 9 AND 12 O'CLOCK FACE: (NAMES) WALL: IN REMEMBRANCE 1939 - 45./ (NAMES)
