    The dedication on the pedestal of the cross reads, IN GRATEFUL MEMORY OF THE MEN OF THIS PARISH WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE GREAT WAR 1914-18/ THEIR NAMES ARE PLACED ON THIS TABLET OUTSIDE THE WEST WALL OF THE CHURCH AND LIVE FOREVER IN OUR MEMORY (ON TABLET): FOR KING AND COUNTRY - 1914-19/ (NAMES) (ON TABLET ON BUTTRESS AJOINING WALL): 1939-45, REMEMBER/ (NAMES)
