Description: Stained glass window given by George Fowler in memory of his son, Lt Col George Herbert Fowler, killed in 1915. The left hand light shows St George in triumph, one foot on the slain dragon. The right hand light shows St Martin with sword partly drawn from its sheath. Above these lights is a quatrefoil window with the Royal arms. Brass plaque with dedicatory inscription.
Inscription: Window: FOR KING AND COUNTRY/ GEORGE HERBERT FOWLER/ OCT 15 1915/ Greater love hath no man than this: that/ a man lay down his life for his friend Plaque: TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND IN EVER LOVING MEMORY OF LIEUT COL GEORGE HERBERT FOWLER AND THE OFFICERS AND THE MEN OF THE 8TH BATTALION SHERWOOD FORESTERS WHO FELL IN THE ATTACK ON THE HOHENZOLLERN REDOUBT, OCTOBER 1915
