    2017: Trees were at risk of felling as part of Sheffield's Streets Ahead project. 2006: Pavement of Western Road is suffering damage due to tree roots, making the pavement increasingly difficult to use. Matter raised at meeting with council officials. 2005: Concern over illegal fly posting on trees. 1996: General concern about the unsafe condition of all the city's trees. Highlighted in (Sheffield) Star 10 January 1996. Article specifically refers to Western Rd.
