    Description
    Base surmounted by tapering plinth, shaft and Latin Crucifix. Inscription in black lettering on the sides of the base. Original inscriptions and names were overlaid in 2003.

    6 o'clock face: 1914 - 1918/ 1939 - 1945/ R.I.P./ IN EVER GRATEFUL/ REMEMBRANCE OF THE/ MEN OF CUDWORTH/ WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES/ IN THE GREAT WAR/ "SEE YE TO IT, THAT/ THESE SHALL NOT/ HAVE DIED IN VAIN"/ 1 names from Afghanistan has been added to the base of the memorial - beneath the main inscription) 3, 9 and 12 o'clock faces: (183 names around the plinth for WW1 and 65 names for WW2)

    Maintenance History
    In 2003 the Cudworth Local History and Heritage Group obtained a grant to renovate the memorial, an additional 41 names were added to the existing list. Granite panels now cover the old (original) names. Recently the name a local man, Captain Driver, killed in Afghanistan was added to the base of the memorial.
