    • Watford Observer 26 July 2013. Abbots Langley War Memorial Fund had received £2974.82 in donations and sponsorship, plus a grant offer of £1,622 from War Memorials Trust. It was planned to place granite name tablets at the foot of the cross as English Heritage had advised against recutting the names into the Portland stone as it may make weathering and erosion happen more rapidly.
