    Description
An irregular eight sided plinth surmounted by a tall triangular pillar and a winged Figure of Victory. An additional figure of a naked man breaking a sword over his knee is positioned at the foot of the pillar. A dedicatory inscription is carved into the stone and names of WW1 and WW2 casualties are inscribed on plaques placed on the sides of the plinth. An additional plaque commemorates those who have died since 1945. The whole is enclosed by wrought iron railings. On the front side of the railings is a bronze sword with the Yorkshire rose depicted on the hilt. An animal's head in relief is at the top of the blade nearest the hilt with a green coloured metal wreath hanging behind. Also on the railings is the crest of the West Riding Regiment.
