- Description
- Seven arch wall which was originally part of the 12th Century Archbishop of York's Palace. It was restored and became a memorial in 1987 and a dedicatory plaque marking this in white lettering is placed to the left of the wall. Plaques with the division's Battle Honours in raised lettering are in each archway. Iron railings are on the low boundary wall within each archway: the railings in the central, fourth arch carry a cast, bronze wreath. Behind this fourth arch is a low obelisk with a carved, Latin cross above a tablet which carries an engraved commemoration in white lettering.
