Description: Platform topped, square foundation supporting a single-stepped square base followed by a secondary round-edged square cushion base surmounted by a lower moulded-edged, square sectioned, recess-sided column, tapering decorative capstone & a small terminal-armed cross. Incised inscription on front face of column and the names on a shield-shaped tablet beneath.
Inscription: PRO PATRIA / THIS / MEMORIAL WAS RAISED / BY THE INHABITANTS / OF HETHE / IN MEMORY OF / THOSE MEN OF THE VILLAGE / WHO SERVED IN THE GREAT WAR / FELL IN ACTION / (Names) / DIED / (Names) / 1939 - 1945 / (Names) / REMEMBER THOSE WHO DIED ACROSS THE SEA / FOR ENGLAND'S LIFE, FOR ENGLAND'S LIBERTY
