    17TH CENTURY OAK SCREEN WITH WW1 INSCRIPTION CARVED ONTO TWO SMALLER PANELS TO THE RIGHT OF THE DOOR AND WW2 INSCRIPTION CARVED ONTO A LARGER PANEL TO THEIR LEFT. INSCRIPTION AND NAMES IN GOLD PAINTED LETTERING: WW1 NAMES IN A SINGLE COLUMN, WW2 IN TWO.

    WW1 - IN PIAM MEMORIAM ALUMNORUM AULAE SANCTI EDMUNDI QUI ANIMAS SUAS PRO PATRIA PROFUDERUNT QUORUM EXITUM INTUENTES IMITAMINI FIDEM/ (NAMES) Translation - In pious memory of the members of St Edmund hall who gave their lives for their country. Consider their end and imitate their faith. WW2 PANEL: OBSECRAMUS TE DOMINE JESU UT ALUMNOS AULAE NOSTRAE BELLO PEREMPTOS AULAM CELESTAM MISERICORS DUCAS/ (NAMES) Translation - We beseech thee. Lord Jesus, that of thy mercy thou will take into thy heavenly Hall the members of our Hall slain in battle.
