    Description
    Wall-mounted nowy-headed alabaster tablet with two insets of white marble, the left bearing the commemoration, the right bearing the names. There are quotations below each tablet on the marble surround: all inscriptions are in black. The mosaic in the centre depicts St George. There is the Royal coat of arms at the head of the whole.

    (LEFT SIDE TABLET): IN/ GIVING THANKS/ TO GOD FOR THE/ SAFE RETURN OF/ OFFICERS & MEN/ OF THE PARISH OF/ EASTNOR WHO/ TOOK PART IN THE/ GREAT WAR 1914-1919/ LET US KEEP IN/ GLORIOUS MEMORY/ THOSE WHO GAVE /THEIR LIVES FOR/ THE CAUSE OF/ MERCY , JUSTICE/ AND FREEDOM/ (MARBLE BELOW THE TABLET): HE WILL SWALLOW UP DEATH / IN VICTORY (ON RIGHT TABLET): (16 NAMES) (MARBLE BELOW THE RIGHT TABLET): "THE KING OF THE WORLD SHALL/ RAISE US UP, WHO HAVE DIED/ FOR HIS LAWS UNTO EVERLASTING LIFE"
