    Description
    This memorial comprises of 4 parts: The main WW1 cross, a rear wall naming those lost in WW2, a plaque dedicated to Private James Towers VC (record 092490), and a bench located on the opposite side of the road that invites passersby to sit whilst contemplating the sacrifices made by those named on the cross and wall within the memorial area located across the road. Overview of memorial area: Roadside enclosed memorial area containing a celtic cross with copper plaque with WW1 names, a wall with two slate tablets bearing WW2 names flanking a representation of an altar bearing a carved inscription and rough hewn wall containing a wooden bench beneath a slate tablet. The area is accessed by a flight of four steps. As stated, this area now also includes a plaque dedicated to and explaining the achievements of Pte James Towers VC.
