    Description
Byzantine sandstone cross on a battered plinth on a two step base, which is raised on an existing artificial mound, with a stepped approach from a small garden which was renovated and added to in 2018, to mark the centenary of the end of the Great War. Cast bronze plaques are affixed to the faces of the plinth, and they were evidently installed post-WW2. The 2018 additions comprise of a tablet to commemorate the centenary of the end of the Great War, a glazed display case containing two WW2 War Savings Campaign tablets, and a list of the Councillors of Preesall Urban District Council who were in office during the war, and a steel bench.
