WMR Reference Number: 33829
Description: Stone Cross of Anglian type resting on a large square pedestal, which sits on three steps. The inscriptions are on panels on the pedestal which have been carved to stand proud. The names from 1914-18 are on the sides of the pedestal, the dedication and the names from 1939-45 are on the front. All letters are incised in sans serif capitals.
Inscription: CHOLLERTON/ IN REVERENT AND GRATEFUL/ MEMORY OF OUR MEN WHO/ FELL IN THE GREAT WAR/ 1914 - 19/ "YE THAT LIVE ON MID ENGLAND'S PASTURES GREEN/ REMEMBER US AND THINK WHAT MIGHT HAVE BEEN"/ 1939 - 1945/ (NAMES) (SIDES) (WW1 NAMES)
