    Description
    St George in traditional pose with foot resting on a dragon and sword in hand mounted on a rectangular tappered plinth simbolically facing the way the fallen departed in Station Road.. The whole is mounted on a three stepped base enclosed by a wrought iron fence. The four faces or the plinth bear bronze escutcheons framed with a laurel wreath and bearing the names above a ribbon. A rectangular broze laurel leaf framed plaque commemorating the fallen of the Second World War is mounted at the base of the plinth Standards and regimental badges of the fallen are carved on three out of four faces of the plinth
