    New memorial: Nowy headed black marble tablet with inscription in gold lettering Original memorial: Triangular-headed white stone tablet with inscription in black lettering. Memorial was extended at the base to allow the inclusion of extra names. Crossed union flags with crown in the centre is etched at the top centre of the tablet.

    1999: The Highways Agency announced plans to demolish the building on which the memorial was place due to road improvement works. They agreed to restore and relocate the memorial. 2003: The original memorial crumbled when it was removed so it was replaced with a replica by a local mason from Co-op Funeralcare.
