- Description
- Grey granite monolith on a four-stepped base, with post and chain fencing on the bottom step, and two stone flower vase stands on the top in front of the cenotaph, bearing small brass plaques. The WW1 names are recorded on slate tablets inset in the North face, with a small addenda tablet below the main one. The WW2 names are on a similar slate tablet installed above the WW1 tablets. The inscriptions are carved, and painted white, and are enclosed by a green border of laurel leaves interwoven with gilt painted ribbons. There is a slate dedicatory tablet bearing an etching of poppies on the West face.
