Memorial Details

Type of Memorial: Cross
WMR Reference Number: 3734
Description: A three tier base supporting a Latin cross of white stone adorned with oak and laurel leaves and a facsimile Victoria Cross sculptured in relief on the top section. It is accessed by a flight of six steps and enclosed by low timber posts and a wrought iron barrier chain. Inscription and names are incised and are on faces 1, 2 and 4 of the tiers. Within the church can be found a booklet giving full details of each individual named on the monument.
