Description: Wall mounted black backboard with an attached elaborate nowy-headed tablet. Incised inscription area flanked by shallow protruding pilasters, above is a moulded horizontal band, below is a plain nowy-headed base rail. The tympanum houses a sculpted figure of an angel, wings outstretched, sheltering a wounded man & either side are small laurel wreaths, all designs in relief. Names infilled in black, inscriptions possibly infilled in gold coloured paint but now faded.
Inscription: Upper area of tablet : IN MEMORY OF THE MEN OF / THIS PARISH WHO GAVE THEIR / LIVES IN THE GREAT WAR 1914-1918 / (47 NAMES) / Enclosed lower area : GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN / THAN THIS, THAT HE LAY DOWN / : HIS LIFE FOR HIS FRIENDS :
