Description: Two-stepped, platform topped, hexagonal base surmounted by a square sectioned tapering plinth with concave chamfered top edges, octagonal sectioned tapering shaft, boss and decorative-armed cross. Engraved plaques with black lettering, attached to three sides of plinth.
Inscription: Face 1: TO THE GLORY OF GOD/ AND IN PROUD MEMORY OF/ GEOFFREY T. L. ELLWOOD/ Lieut. 6th. Battn. Leicestershire Regt./ KILLED IN ACTION AT/ BAZENTIN IN THE/ BATTLE OF THE SOMME/ JULY. 14. 1916. AGED 24 YEARS./ SON OF THE RECTOR WHO ERECTS/ THIS MONUMENT TO HIM AND TO/ THE FOLLOWING PARISHIONERS WHO/ FELL IN THE WAR 1914 -18.
