Description: Wall mounted, white marble tablet with lettering in black and raised mottled alabaster border, set in large moulded Ketton stone frame with alabaster angel above in broken pediment. WW2 names added on separate but harmonised tablet below in 1996.
Inscription: WW1 Tablet : IN GRATEFUL / MEMORY OF THE MEN OF / FLECKNEY WHO GAVE / THEIR LIVES FOR THEIR / KING AND COUNTRY IN / THE GREAT WAR 1914-1919 / [NAMES] / GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN THAN THIS / THAT A MAN LAY DOWN HIS LIFE FOR HIS FRIENDS // WW2 Tablet : THIS TABLET WAS ENLARGED IN / REMEMBRANCE OF THOSE WHO / MADE THE SAME SUPREME / SACRIFICE IN THE SECOND / WORLD WAR / [NAMES] / THEY SHALL NOT GROW OLD AS WE THAT ARE LEFT GROW OLD / AGE SHALL NOT WEARY THEM NOR THE YEARS CONDEMN / AT THE GOING DOWN OF THE SUN AND IN THE MORNING / WE WILL REMEMBER THEM
