Description: Wall mounted square-headed & shouldered, ornately painted & gilded wooden board. A pair of portrait orientated panels form the inscription area centre fields, bisected by a vertical wooden frame member bearing the carved figure of Christ upon the Cross. Lettering in black on golden background. In the flanking panels are the coloured figures of (left) St. Michael & (right) St. George, both standing on plinths, golden background. Sides & top of board are bordered by highly decorative & colourful foliate & floriate designs. Each of the three principle panels are enclosed by an array of red, blue & gold coloured moulded edgework. A gold coloured crown in relief is at top centre.
Inscription: PAX INVICTIS / TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND / IN THANKFUL REMEMBRANCE / OF THE MEN OF THIS PARISH / (NAMES) / 1914 { WHO FOUGHT FOR ENGLAND / & DIED FOR THEIR FRIENDS } 1919 / "GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN THAN THIS" / S. JOHN 5.13
