WMR Reference Number: 37832
Description: Sited opposite the Church, the memorial stands on a kerbed, gravel-gardened triangular junction refuge. A three-step, octagonal base supports a square plinth which, in turn, is surmounted by a tapering, octagonal shaft, topped with a decorated wheel cross. The commemoration and names are on the sides and base of the plinth in carved lettering.
Inscription: Front face: TO THE GLORY OF/ AND IN MEMORY OF THOSE/ FROM MEDBOURNE AND HOLT/ WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES/ FOR THEIR COUNTRY/ IN THE GREAT WAR/ 1914 - 1918/ FAITHFUL UNTO DEATH Other faces: (NAMES) Around base of plinth: ALSO TO THOSE WHO FELL IN THE WAR 1939 - 1945
