    Description
    Four-stepped octagonal base surmounted by a circular moulded boss & octagonal sectioned tapering shaft, with a decorative capital & wheel cross. Leaded inscriptions & names on riser faces around upper two steps. Between these steps is a chamfer-headed octagonal spacer. Lower two steps have chamfered edges. The whole memorial is bordered by a wide circular hard standing area.

    4th. step : ERECTED BY THE PARISHIONERS OF STOKE GOLDING / IN MEMORY OF THOSE WHO FOUGHT AND FELL / IN THE GREAT WAR 1914 - 1919 / continuing onto 3rd.step : GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN THAN THIS / THAT HE LAY DOWN HIS LIFE FOR HIS FRIENDS, / LET THOSE WHO COME AFTER SEE TO IT / THAT THEIR NAME BE NOT FORGOTTEN. 4th. step, opp. side : (21 NAMES) 3rd. step, opp. side : SECOND GREAT WAR /1939 - 1945 / LEST WE FORGET. 2 adjacent 3rd. step faces, opp. side : (12 NAMES)
