Description: BRICK GATE POSTS SUPPORT WROUGHT IRON GATES. INSCRIPTION IN WHITE LETTERING ON PLAQUES ON EACH GATE POST. "LEST WE FORGET" WRITTEN IN BRICKWORK AT ENTRANCE.
Inscription: (RIGHT PILLAR); THESE GATES ARE IN MEMORY OF THE/ MEN OF KEYWORTH WHO FELL IN THE WARS/ THEY SHALL GROW NOT OLD/ AS WE THAT ARE LEFT GROW OLD/ AGE SHALL NOT WEARY THEM/ NOR THE YEARS CONDEMN/ AT THE GOING DOWN OF THE SUN/ AND IN THE MORNING/ WE SHALL REMEMBER THEM/ LAWRENCE BINYON. (LEFT PILLAR); THE RESTORATION OF THESE MEMORIAL GATES WAS MADE POSSIBLE BY A DONATION FROM THE SISTERS OF LORETO/ TO COMMEMORATE THEIR STAY IN KEYWORTH 1968-1977 AT MARY WARD COLLEGE (IN BRICKWORK IN FRONT OF GATES): LEST WE FORGET
