    Description
Honister slate Celtic cross on a square plinth set on a dry stone base with a mix of Celtic and conventional carvings on the upper shaft - a Phoenix with wings spread at the top, a vine design on the arms of the cross, Celtic knot work around the wheel, a laurel wreath at the crossing, and a dove of peace within Celtic knot work in a frieze above the carved WW1 inscription. The WW2 names are carved on a plain tablet fixed to the front face of the plinth.
