    Description
    In the main banking hall on the first floor two marble tablets. The upper WW1; Nowy-headed rectangular with an urn in the Nowy-head recess with two female figures flanking the main incised inscription. RH figure, helmeted and holding a sword; LH figure, cloaked. Names in three columns at the bottom. The lower WW2 tablet, rectangular with inscription, incised with names in three columns. Immediately beneath the two tablets a board with two medallions flanking the inscription. LH medallion the cenotaph and RH two female figures.

    WW1 tablet. "1914 - 1918 / IN GRATEFUL REMEMBRANCE / OF THOSE WHO WENT FROM THIS / HOUSE TO FIGHT FOR THEIR COUNTRY/ AND RETURNED NOT / (24 names)". WW2 tablet. "1939 - 1945 / ERECTED BY THE PARTNERS AND STAFF OF COUTTS & CO / 440 STRAND LONDON/ (names) Board "THIS MEMORIAL / WAS UNVEILED ON / 24TH MAY 1921 / BY HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS / THE DUKE OF YORK K.G.
