    Maintenance History
Cleaning and repointing of the slab paving base took place in October 2002 at a cost of £500 which was met by Burley Parish Council. Three of the stone pillars were knocked down by a car in March 2004, the cost of the repairs were met by an insurance company. Restoration work for the memorial, including the addition of two names, a decoration to an existing name were estimated to cost £5600 in £5,600 in July 2007. Photographs taken in 2016 would indicate that the work was undertaken, probably around 2007/2008. The War Memorials Trust awarded a grant of £1,550 towards this work - see https://www.warmemorials.org/search-grants/?gID=419
