Description: Brass plaque. Inscription within a decorative stylised foliate border. At the top left hand corner of the border is the Christogram IHS, top right hand corner is possibly a Celtic knot design, bottom left hand corner is a cross, and bottom right hand corner shows the Chi-Rho Christogram. Incised design and inscription is black in colour.
Inscription: TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND IN LOVING MEMORY OF/ EDWARD THOMAS HODGSON, R.N./ MIDSHIPMAN H.M.S. INVINCIBLE, WHO WAS/ KILLED IN THE BATTLE OF JUTLAND BANK (SIC)/ 31ST MAY 1916. AGED 17./ PRO PATRIA./ THIS BRASS WAS PLACED BY HIS FRIENDS.
