    Description
Sandstone Anglian cross with runic carvings on the crossing and above the carved inscription. Mounted on a battered plinth which carries the Dedication, and on a two-step base. Similar to the cross at the nearby church of St Peter, Heversham (WMR 4163). The design for the decoration was copied by the sculptor from a section of an ancient cross-head located below the cill of the west window in that church.
