    Description
    Marble tablet placed within a darker marble frame, and an incised inscription. At the top of the tablet is an incised floriated cross. A star marks those who were members of the 1st Durham Boys' Brigade.

    1914 1918 BE THOU FATHFUL UNTO DEATH &/ I WILL GIVE THEE A CROWN OF LIFE./ THESE ARE THE NAMES OF THE/ MEN BELONGING TO THIS PARISH AND/ CONGREGATION WHO LAID DOWN/ THEIR LIVES IN THE GREAT WAR./ (Names)/ * Members of the 1st Battalion Boys Brigade/O GOD FOR ENGLAND THESE STRONG/ SOULS HAVE PASSED. GRANT WE/ MAY MAKE HER WORTHY OF THEM AT LAST

Frederick King has had his MM decoration added 2. Andrew Norman Brown has had his MC decoration added 3. The names of Jos. Matthew Brook, Rich. Robt. Ainsley, Arthur Graham and Jos. Dalton Bell have been added
