Inscription: SELKIRK WEST UNITED FREE CHURCH/ TO THE GLORY OF GOD & IN EVER LOVING & GRATEFUL/ REMEMBRANCE OF THE MEN CONNECTED WITH THIS/ CONGREGATION AND THAT PORTION OF THE FOREST CHURCH/ UNITED WITH IT IN 1916 WHO MADE THE SUPREME/ SACRIFICE IN THE GREAT WAR 1914 - 1919/ (NAMES)/ GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN THAN THIS/ THAT A MAN LAY DOWN HIS LIFE FOR HIS FRIENDS
