    Maintenance History
2015: In 2015 this memorial to the 4th Fighter Group USAAF was moved from its former location (in the Guard Room on the airfield) to its current position, to form a collective memorial area at the end of the north-south runway of the former airfield; also within that memorial area are a freestanding wall to which a plaque is attached (which jointly commemorates British and American aircrew who served at RAF Debden during WW2), and a "Pickett-Hamilton fort" (several of which were erected in WW2, to protect the airfield).
