Description: Engraved brass plaque attached to a wall mounted, portrait aligned, mould-edged wooden backboard. Latin cross at the top of the plaque, below which, are the inscription verses and name. Text infilled with black paint.
Inscription: + / TO THE MEMORY OF / SIR ARCHIBALD ALISON / 3rd BARONET WHO DIED AT / POSSIL HOUSE BUDLEIGH SALTERTON / 7th NOVEMBER 1921 AGED 59 / ALSO OF HIS SON / GEORGE NEWDEGATE ALISON / CAPT: SEAFORTH HIGHLANDERS / KILLED IN ACTION BATTLE OF / THE SOMME 1ST JULY 1916 AGED 26 / I thank my GOD / upon every remembrance of you.
