THE EAGLE OF ST JOHN WITH PALM LEAVES, COLOURED AND IN GILT, AT TOP CENTRE, ABOVE THE COMMEMORATION (IN FRENCH): BELOW ARE THE WW1 NAMES. DATES AND TWO OTHER GILT EAGLES WITH OUTSTRETCHED WINGS AND SEATED IN CROWNS ARE ABOVE WW2 NAMES. REGULARLY SPACED, COLOURED SYMBOLS OF LADY MARGARET - RED ROSES AND PORTCULLIS - SURROUND THE WW1 NAMES.
