Description: Wall mounted rectangular headed alabaster tablet with incised inscription in black painted lettering. At the top centre of the tablet is a relief carving of the badge of the West Yorkshire Regiment flanked by a cross on the left and a crown on the right.
Inscription: TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND IN LOVING MEMORY/ OF PRIVATE HUGH NICHOL BROADBENT,/ 1ST 5TH WEST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT,/ KILLED IN ACTION AT YPRES, FLANDERS,/ NOVEMBER 14TH 1915, AGED 23 YEARS./ "HE LAID DOWN HIS LIFE FOR HIS FRIEND."/ THIS TABLET IS ERECTED BY/ HIS SORROWING PARENTS.
