Description: Garden sited rough hewn stone with three plaques attached. Small one on top; main plaque on front of stone; smaller third plaque fixed at angle at base of stone in niche. Crest of borough of Gosport (longboat under sail) at top of main plaque between indented shoulders. Rope twist border around main plaque.
Inscription: TOP PLAQUE: THE MEMORIAL PLAQUE AND THE BENCH/ PLAQUES WERE MANUFACTURED AND PRESENTED/ BY HMS DOLPHIN/ TO THE FALKLAND MEMORIAL GARDENS/ 1983 MAIN PLAQUE: THESE GARDENS WERE RENAMED/ "THE FALKLAND GARDENS" IN TRIBUTE TO THE MEMBERS OF/ THE ARMED FORCES, MERCHANT/ NAVY AND CIVILIANS WHO GAVE/ THEIR LIVES OR WERE INJURED IN/ THE FALKLAND ISLANDS CAMPAIGN/ APRIL-JUNE 1982 BOTTOM PLAQUE: THIS PLAQUE WAS UNVEILED BY/ THE RT.HON. THE BARONESS THATCHER LG, OM, FRC/ AT A SERVICE OF REDEDICATION OF/ THE FALKLAND GARDENS HELD ON THE 15TH ANNIVERSARY/ OF THE END OF THE FALKLANDS CONFLICT/ IN THE PRESENCE OF/ THE WORSHIPFUL THE MAJOR OF GOSPORT/ COUNCILLOR PETER EDGAR/ 15TH JUNE 1997.
