    Description
    Celtic Cornish stone cross on two level plinths and two-step base. Inverted sword carved on front face of cross. Commemoration for WW1 on front of small plinth in black lettering with two columns of names on lower large plinth. At back of memorial, commemoration for WW2 on small plinth, names in two columns on large plinth; lettering in black.

    FRONT: THIS CROSS IS ERECTED BY/ PARISHIONERS OF PENNINGTON/ IN THANKFUL MEMORY OF THOSE WHO/ FELL IN THE GREAT WAR (1914-1918)/ AND WHOSE NAMES ARE HERE INSCRIBED/ NAMES. REAR: IN THANKFUL MEMORY OF/ THOSE WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES/ IN THE 1939-1945 WAR/ NAMES.
