    Upright stone. Flat topped with a semi-circular central features and square shoulders that extend beyond the main face. The inscription panel is slightly raised and follows the overall shape of the stone. Within the curve of the panel is a recessed panel containing a carving of the badge of the Cheshire Regiment on the left, a Latin cross in the centre and the badge of the Lancashire Fusiliers on the right

REGT. / THEIR ELDEST SON, WHO DIED OF SYNCOPE,/ 9TH JULY 1917, AGED 23 YEARS & WAS INTERRED / IN TEL-EL-FARA CEMETERY, PALESTINE. / "THEY WILL BE DONE" / AND OF CORPORAL FRANK LESTER, V.C./OF THE 10TH LANCASHIRE FUSILIERS, THEIR SECOND SON./HE FELL IN ACTION IN THE VILLAGE OF NEUVILLY,/FRANCE, WHERE HIS BRAVERY SAVED THE LIVES/OF MANY OF HIS COLLEAGUES, ON THE 12TH OCT./1918, IN HIS 22ND YEAR, HIS BODY LIES IN THE /NEUVILLY COMMUNAL CEMETERY./GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN THAN THIS THAT/HE LAID DOWN HIS LIFE FOR HIS FRIENDS.
